Notes From a Full-Service GrandadWhen Liam Heneghan became a grandfather, he made a quiet promise: to be fully present in his granddaughter's life. Unlike his years as a busy father, when work and responsibilities often had pulled him away, he now devotes two full days each week to caring for his granddaughter, sharing in the ordinary rhythms of childhood. A Dublin-born ecologist, Heneghan finds himself rediscovering the natural world through her eyes -- from the wonder of a passing bird to the simple delight of exploring outdoors. Along the way, he's discovered that grandparenting offers something unexpected: a chance not only to give love, patience, and attention, but to receive the gift of seeing life anew. His story is a tender reminder that the most meaningful thing we can offer another person may be our time, freely and wholeheartedly given.
