Supporting 90% of life on the planet, the protection of this global commons is crucial in a time where it is used as a garbage dump, over exploited by fishers and neglected under the law. Kristina Gjerde is working to raise awareness of the need for a law of the high seas and encourages shared responsibility, conditional access and continual monitoring to safeguard the commons.
