Day 1 - Grab the bill by the horns

The first thing to do is have a look at all your unopened bills, statements and letters and start looking at them in detail. This may seem a bit scary but the bills you may have hidden out of view or filed away for another day won't disappear. In fact, the longer they sit there, the more daunting they may become.
So make today the day you 'grab the bill by the horns'. Work out exactly who, and what, you owe. By knowing where you stand, you can start to take steps to address the problem.
